She joined the organization in 2008, bringing with her over 25 years of experience in non-profit organizational management and development. An accomplished professional in the animal welfare industry, Judy utilizes her knowledge to develop, implement and monitor the short- and long-term operational and financial goals necessary to carry out the mission, vision and strategic goals of Larimer Humane Society as set forth by Larimer Humane Society’s Board of Directors.

Jenn Barg

Director Of Operations

Jenn Barg is the Director of Operations for Larimer Humane Society. She is an Associate Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist and Certified Dog Behavior Consultant.

Bill Porter

Director of Animal Protection & Control

Bill Porter joined Larimer Humane Society in January 2005 and quickly rose through the ranks to assume the position of Director of Animal Protection and Control. As a Certified Animal Control Officer (CAACO) and a State Commissioned Animal Control officer with the State of Colorado, Bill utilizes his extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and ordinances related to the control and welfare of animals to set the strategic direction

Jean Mooney

Director of Human Resources

Jean L. Mooney joined Larimer Humane Society as the Director of Human Resources in January 2010 with over 20 years of experience in working with Fortune 500 companies in the areas of human resources, public and government affairs, communications and marketing. At Larimer Humane Society, Jean is responsible for the strategic direction and tactical implementation of the shelter’s human resource policies and practices

Rachel Miller

Director of Finance

Rachel Miller, CPA is the Director of Finance for Larimer Humane Society. She is responsible for the reconciliation and presentation of all organization financial information and oversees the finance and licensing departments.

Lauren Dewey

Development Manager

Lauren Ross Dewey is the Development Manager at Larimer Humane Society. She joined the organization in 2016 and brings nearly a decade of nonprofit experience in development, management, and event coordination.

Jen Valentine

Shelter Manager

Jen Valentine is the Shelter Manager for Larimer Humane Society, a position she has held since February 2014. Having been a member of the shelter team since June of 2008 serving as a Client Services Representative and then a Client Services Supervisor, she brings a wealth of organizational knowledge to this leadership position. Jen is responsible for the daily operations and management of the animal shelter, including front desk operations, animal care and placement, and the enrichment and evaluation of the shelter animals.

Elise Gingrich

Supervising Veterinarian

Elise N. Gingrich, DVM, is the Supervising Veterinarian for Larimer Humane Society. In this position, Elise oversees the Veterinary Services department, which is responsible for managing the health of all shelter animals. Elise and her team provide a full range of services, including surgeries, vaccinations, the diagnosis and treatment of injuries, genetic conditions, and illnesses. Elise also works closely with the Director of Operations and Shelter Manager to develop protocols for disease control and safety.

Ginger Charvat

Licensing Supervisor

Ginger Charvat is the Licensing Supervisor for Larimer Humane Society. As the shelter’s longest tenured employee, Ginger has been lending her expertise to the shelter since 1985. In her current role as Licensing Supervisor, Ginger is responsible for overseeing the daily tactics associated with selling and renewing animal licenses in Larimer County.
